Born in Saint Paul and raised in Lake Elmo, Casie has always found joy in the kitchen, discovering a love for cooking and baking at an early age and collecting cookbooks ever since. With over 20 years of experience in the restaurant and catering world, her journey began in a family-owned restaurant and bar in Saint Paul and grew into a career built around genuine hospitality and connection. Much of her background is front of the house—serving, bartending, managing, and leading teams—where she learned that great food is only part of what makes a place special. Now living in Stillwater and raising two children, she values community, comfort, and time spent together. As a former employee of the café’s previous owner, she is proud to continue its legacy, keeping the warm, down-to-earth small-town feel guests know and love, while thoughtfully evolving the menu with homemade dishes and comforting, home-style recipes made with care.
